According to the sheriff's office, detectives from the Nar-cotics Unit, along with investigators from the Portsmouth Police Department, executed a search warrant at 2426 Mabert Road in Portsmouth following citizen complaints.
During a search of the residence, officers seized marijuana, scales and several prescription medications.

Penix was arrested and boo-ked in the Scioto County Jail on a bench warrant out of Portsmouth Municipal Court. He was being held without bond on Thursday, pending his appearance in court.
In a separate case on Wed-nesday evening, the Narc-otics Unit, along with investigators from the sheriff's off-ice and Portsmouth Police Department, executed a sear-ch warrant at the home of Ke-vin Leichner, 35, at 1776 Swauger Valley Road, in Portsmouth.
